A five mile walk starting and ending in the village of Corsham. Peacocks roam freely from their home at Corsham Court. A traditional English countryside scene. The lake at Corsham Park. The sham ruin. Route Details 🗺️ View Route on Walkmeter (opens in a new tab) The walkmeter link map is a little skewed as I forgot to turn the GPS off as I started driving home! Oops. Just ignore anything after the 5 mile marker.

Hinton Blewett - 22.7.18

A nearly 6 mile walk starting and ending at the Ring O Bells pub in Hinton Blewett. This circular walk started in Hinton Blewett on a gloriously warm morning. The fields were brown and the mud had solidified which made for interesting walking. Fortunately there were also some shady lanes and wooded paths. The walk went through the lovely little village of Litton where the reservoirs provided a good lunch stop and the opportunity to watch the birds on the water.

Ubley - 27.9.15

Ubley and Blagdon Lake This walk started from the village of Ubley and immediately there was a steep climb through a field of wet grass but it was worth it for the views of Blagdon and Chew Valley Lakes glistening in the late September sunshine. The walk combined open fields and woodland paths taking in part of the Limestone Link footpath. Some very strange stiles to negotiate and the discovery of what is called a Bristol Gate - a farm gate with a pedestrian gate built into it.
